The X-Files was one of the most watched
television series of all time. Running 9 seasons, it was also one of the
longest. With both of these facts in mind, The X-Files is the perfect television
show to relive through DVD. I was only eight when the series started, so to go
back and watch the series from Season One, Episode One, was something I have
wanted to do since I first saw the boxsets in the shops.
My memories of the show were few and far between, only remembering a few
specifics. Something I do remember however is having the absolute crap
scared out of me every week - but I loved it.
I had seen
the boxsets in shops for the past few years, but at around $90AUS a season, I
planned to wait it out awhile. The while ended and now at a more reasonable
price I have started collecting the series.
After watching the pilot, I wanted to see what the internet had to offer so far
as reviews etc. I found many review sites, most of them extremely poor efforts,
some quite decent, but not a single site had every episode from every season
reviewed. I knew the audience must still be around, if not, who were the people
that kept outbidding me on eBay for the boxsets? So I decided to take up the challenge, as a shrine to a fantastic
show, and to give me something to do.

I am reviewing all episodes in order from first to last so this website will be
under construction for quite some time.
